CQuIC Welcomes Postdoctoral Fellow, Cunlu Zhou to CQuIC
November 3, 2021 - Dwight Zier
This month, CQuIC is pleased to welcome Cunlu Zhou to CQuIC as an NSF FRHTP Postdoctoral Fellow.
Cunlu comes to us from the University of Toronto.
Cunlu completed his PhD in Mathematics in 2019 at the University of Notre Dame under the supervision of Leonid Faybusovich and Roxana Smarandache.
After his PhD, he did a 2-year postdoc in computer science at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Henry Yuen.
Cunlu’s PhD research was focused on mathematical optimization. He started working on quantum information and computation when doing his postdoc at U of T.
His research interests include:
- quantum Hamiltonian complexity
- classical/quantum/quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for quantum information
- condensed matter physics
Cunlu started work at CQuIC on August 16, 2021.
Cunlu is an avid sports lover, and he is looking forward to exploring the beautiful Southwest area.
Please welcome him to the CQuIC team.
