CQuIC welcomes Jason Twamley, a leading researcher and Professor at the Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and Director of the Macquarie University Research Centre on Diamond Science and Technology.  Professor Twamley is on sabbatical and will be in residence at CQuIC in September-October 2019 as a UNM Visiting Academic Colleague.  The focus of his work is in the theoretical physics of quantum science and technology with an emphasis on hybrid quantum systems.  He has developed expertise in superconducting, diamond, nanomechanical, magnetic and atomic quantum technologies.  Professor Twamley looks forward to contributing to the current discussions among CQuIC faculty, postdocs and graduate students.
