Bio
I have a Ph.D in experimental atomic-molecular-optical (AMO) physics from the University of New Mexico and Sandia National Laboratories. My Ph.D research was through the UNM Center for Quantum Information and Control with Peter Schwindt at Sandia developing a new, more robust optically pumped magnetometer for applications in unshielded environments.I am interested in all aspects of development of quantum devices and hardware. Any device that works by exploiting quantum phenomona for a practical task has my interest. At Sandia, I found a passion for bringing promising quantum technologies through the technological "valley of death", where concepts with a lower technology readiness languish after initial laboratory demonstrations.
